How Garages Order from Mecanum: VIN-List Workflow, Cutoffs and Delivery
Published
Trade orders from independent garages in the UAE start with a WhatsApp message: the year, make, model and 17-digit VIN on the first line for each vehicle, and the parts required below it. The message goes to +971 4 330 4022. The parts desk at Ras Al Khor works through it line by line, confirms each item against the shelf, and returns a single written quotation. That is the full loop from enquiry to a number you can commit to.
The VIN-list format
For a single vehicle, the message is straightforward: year, make, model and VIN on the first line, then the part description or OEM part number. For multi-vehicle orders, repeat that header line for each vehicle and list its parts below before starting the next vehicle block.
The VIN matters because Mecanum decodes the build specification from it before cross-referencing any part. Two Silverados with the same year and model name can take different brake calipers, different suspension bushings, and different oil filters depending on engine, trim level, and market specification. Ordering without VIN confirmation produces fitment errors at the counter.
Long part lists can be sent as a photo of a requisition sheet or submitted as a structured request via the parts request form. Either route lands at the same desk.
How the desk processes the list
Each VIN is decoded against the shelf inventory at KAW Warehouse 1, Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2. The desk confirms part number, fitment, and shelf status for every line. Items that are on the shelf are quoted with an OEM part number and price. Items not on the shelf are noted separately; lead time is confirmed before they are included in any quotation. Nothing is priced as available if it is not confirmed present.
The response is one written quotation covering every line in the order. Quotations come back by WhatsApp or email. Payment and collection arrangements are confirmed on WhatsApp when the quotation is accepted.
Dispatch cutoffs and collection
Shelf stock confirmed before midday is dispatched the same day within Dubai. For Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, orders dispatch the next working day from Ras Al Khor.
Counter collection is available at KAW Warehouse 1, Nadd Al Hamar Road, Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2, Dubai. WhatsApp the list ahead of the visit to confirm parts are pulled and ready before travelling. The counter is open Saturday to Thursday 08:30 to 19:30 and Friday 08:30 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 19:30.
