Business Operations Intern (3–6 Months)

Overview

Mecanum is a specialist supplier of OEM and quality aftermarket parts for American vehicles, serving workshops, fleets, and retail customers across the UAE from our Dubai base. This internship is a genuine trainee position, not an observation seat: you rotate through the parts desk, inventory, procurement, and back-office coordination, working directly with the team on live orders and real customers. The placement runs 3 to 6 months depending on your availability and pays a basic stipend of AED 1,000 per month. Interns placed in the sales department, or any intern who brings in sales for the business, earn commission on top of the stipend. We treat the placement as an extended interview: interns who show reliability and initiative are considered for a permanent position when it ends. Final-year students who can commit meaningful weekly hours are welcome alongside fresh graduates.

Responsibilities

• —Support the parts desk with enquiries, quotations, and order follow-ups by phone, WhatsApp, and email.
• —Assist with inventory tasks: stock checks, receiving shipments, labelling, and keeping records accurate in the system.
• —Help procurement compare supplier offers, track incoming orders, and chase delivery timelines.
• —Keep documents, invoices, and customer records organised and up to date.
• —Prepare simple reports and summaries for management as requested.
• —Take on small projects end to end, such as tidying a product data set or researching a market segment, and present the outcome.

Qualifications

• —Fresh graduate or final-year student in business, supply chain, engineering, marketing, IT, or a related field.
• —Available for a continuous placement of 3 to 6 months, based in Dubai or able to commute daily.
• —Good spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
• —Comfortable with MS Office or Google Workspace, especially spreadsheets.
• —Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn a trading business from the ground up, including hands-on warehouse work.

Preferred Skills

• —Interest in cars or the automotive aftermarket.
• —Coursework or projects in logistics, e-commerce, data analysis, or digital marketing.
• —UAE driving licence.
