Ford Explorer Parts
in Dubai
& the UAE
Explorer parts for U502 and U625 are on the shelf at Ras Al Khor. The 2020 platform switch moved from a front-drive unibody to a rear-drive-based architecture, changing suspension, differential, and driveline parts completely. Send your VIN and we confirm the right Motorcraft part for your generation and drivetrain.
INVENTORY
Explorer Spare Parts: What We Keep on the Shelf
We hold Motorcraft shelf stock for Ford Explorer covering the 5th gen U502 (2011–2019) and 6th gen U625 (2020–on). Regular part families include brake pads and rotors, oil and cabin air filters, spark plugs, ignition coils, suspension control arms and ball joints, front and rear shock absorbers, and power steering components for U502 electro-hydraulic builds.
The U502 ran up to three engine options in the UAE market: 2.0L EcoBoost inline-4, 2.3L EcoBoost inline-4, and 3.5L naturally aspirated Ti-VCT V6 (with EcoBoost V6 available in later builds). The U625 standardised on the 3.0L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 in ST trim and 2.3L EcoBoost in base variants. Engine filter and spark plug part numbers differ between these families. We hold Motorcraft consumables for each variant.
OEM & AFTERMARKET
Motorcraft for Explorer: OEM Line and Aftermarket Options
Motorcraft is the factory-specified service-parts brand for Ford Explorer. The Explorer service schedule calls Motorcraft by name for oil filter, air filter, and spark plug replacement intervals. We carry these consumables on the shelf for U502 and U625 builds. For the U625 3.0L twin-turbo, Motorcraft also specifies a particular oil viscosity and filter rating to maintain turbo bearing lubrication; we can confirm the correct specification when you send your VIN.
We also carry select aftermarket parts for Explorer brake and suspension work where the customer specifies them. Aftermarket rotors, brake pads, and suspension arms come with the same warranty terms: documented fault required, electrical components non-returnable once fitted. If the Motorcraft part is not on the shelf for your exact build, we confirm an availability date and can source it. We do not substitute without telling you.
FITMENT CHECK
Explorer Platform Shift: U502 FWD Unibody vs U625 RWD-Based Architecture
The U502 (2011–2019) Explorer sits on a front-wheel-drive-based unibody platform derived from the Ford CD3 architecture, shared with the Taurus and Edge. Front suspension is a MacPherson strut; rear is a multi-link independent setup. AWD builds route drive through a power transfer unit mounted on the front transaxle. Brake caliper brackets, front strut housings, and rear subframe mounting points are specific to this platform. No U502 suspension part carries over to the U625.
The U625 (2020–on) rides on Ford's CD6 rear-wheel-drive-based platform, shared with the Aviator. The architectural change reversed the powertrain layout: the engine sits longitudinally, and rear-wheel drive is now standard. AWD Explorer builds on U625 use a more traditional rear differential and transfer case, replacing the U502 power transfer unit entirely. Front suspension geometry changed from MacPherson strut to a double-wishbone setup on some trim levels. Caliper sizing, rotor dimensions, and knuckle geometry are all unique to U625.
For UAE-market Explorer builds, GCC-spec trim lines do not always match US production in rotor sizing and brake pad compound specs. Send your 17-digit VIN on WhatsApp before ordering any suspension, brake, or driveline component. We match the VIN to the correct generation, trim, drivetrain, and engine variant before pulling from the shelf.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you stock Motorcraft parts for the Ford Explorer U502 and U625 in Dubai?
- Yes. We hold Motorcraft shelf stock for both the U502 (2011–2019) and U625 (2020–on) Explorer. These two generations ride on completely different platforms: U502 is a FWD-based unibody, U625 is an RWD-based architecture. Suspension, brake, and driveline parts do not cross between them. Send your VIN and we pull the right part for your exact build.
- What changed in the Explorer's suspension when it moved from U502 to U625?
- The U502 uses a MacPherson front strut and a rear multi-link setup on a FWD-based platform. The U625 moved to a longitudinal RWD-based platform, with double-wishbone front suspension on higher trim levels. The rear geometry also changed to suit the new rear-differential layout. No suspension part crosses between the two generations. Always provide the generation or VIN before ordering.
- Can I collect Explorer parts from Ras Al Khor on the same day in Dubai?
- Yes. For shelf-stock Motorcraft parts, orders placed before midday are dispatched the same day within Dubai. Walk-in collection at our Ras Al Khor warehouse is available Saturday through Thursday, 08:00 to 18:00. Send your VIN and part number on WhatsApp first. We confirm availability and reserve the part before you travel.
